This one deals less with her history, & more with her powers and relation to how she got back to mansion (at the time of the NC being written at least, in July 2009 when I had the part). Mostly these were what I transliterated from a larger NC and had placed into my picks. :) & I realize that now after the Sisterhood arc her telepathy is back & she still has TK. But both of these abilities are weaker than either of them were when she just had the one or the other (still very strong! But it's an obvious difference.). But I like playing the version of her recorded below (also it is impossible to play a telepath!).
Born & raised in Maldon, Essex, along with her twin bro Brian (Captain Britain) and older bro (by a decade) Jamie Braddock, she grew up living a privileged life. Her story is one of the most complicated in all of Marvel. British model in a Japanese body, brought back to life by her bro Jamie, a year after being killed by Vargas in Spain while fighting him off injured Rogue and Beast, Psylocke came back to life without a hint of telepathy. Her telekinesis, however, had increased greatly in strength. Even Rachel Summers could not overcome her. Alot more has happened since she came back from death. She returned to the mansion in July, trading places with Polaris, who took Betsy's place in NYC fighting alongside Havok & Cyclops. Here she is, at the mansion, one of most well-trained martial artists in the world(thanks to Sabretooth, Ogun, the Hand, & many others) as well as one of the most powerful telekinetics.
Instead of her psychic knife, Psylocke manifests a telekinetic katana composed of raw psionic energy. At its lowest intensity it functions much like her psychic knife once did, short-circuiting the victim's nervous system on impact. At its highest level, it slices through almost any physical matter. Her control over the katana is such that she can slice an armored opponent and cut through the armor, but only leave her opponent stunned/unconscious. Her psychic katana produces radiance. Thus, she can use it as a makeshift light source in the dark. It can also affect beings that are more powerful than her.
She can also use her sword to shatter telepathic power-inhibitors imposed on others, despite her own lack of telepathy. With no tp to guide her, she must rely on her instincts to give the blade the sufficient strength necessary to break the inhibitors, without doing permanent dmg to the subject in question. In House of M, she showed the ability to summon 2 TK katanas at the same time.
Aside from the blade, Psylocke can use her TK to enhance her speed, strength, & fighting skills to superhuman levels. She can also levitate herself & others, fly, or manipulate matter in standard TK fashion (modify her molecular structure to render herself invisible to @ least the naked eye, create thermal energy by exciting heat molecules, etc) . She can also create blasts of focused TK force, defensive shields, & her TK has been said to be strong enough to shatter mountains. Marvel Girl has said that Psylocke's TK is on a level even she couldn't match.
Psylocke is immune to all forms of psionic manipulations such as mind-reading, mind-control or mental attacks, & attempts of telepathic communication. She is also immune or at least highly resistant to other psionic-based powers like Vertigo's disorientation power, or Nocturne's mind possessing abilities. Due to Jamie's alterations, she is also immune to any physical & mental alteration by beings who can radically restructure reality, such as Proteus.
**********
Psylocke was in New York with Cyclops and Havok for a while, and Polaris came at the end of May to join them in their fight against Sinister, and shortly after, a version of Shadow King.
Shadow King had been defeated twice before, first by Psylocke but released back into the world when Psylocke died, and then he was defeated again shortly after that, Psylocke being there for that battle as well. But this third time in NYC, they fought a form of him and defeated him for good hopefully. (havent gone into details)
Anyway, Psylocke returns to the mansion in the beginning of July, with Cyclops returning close to her date as well, leaving Lorna and Alex in NYC, who days after left for Colorado.
Here is her story at the mansion:
>> 7.4.09 was the July 4th event, too many people to NC. no char development <<
